Kids between the ages of 5-18, who are interested in learning and respecting the game of golf, have access to a great opportunity.
Since its establishment, the Golf Course Builders Association of America Foundation has taken a special interest in supporting under privileged children by launching Sticks for Kids, a junior golf outreach program for children who may not have the opportunity to learn and play the game.
The Sticks for Kids Program provides clubs, bags, and instructors for participating courses and teaches kids not only the fundamentals of the game, but also life lessons related to integrity, safety, and etiquette. An environmental awareness component has recently been added thanks to a new partnership with Audubon International and Project Evergreen. Our ongoing partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association has allowed for enhanced growth opportunities totaling 407 programs in all 50 states and 8 international military bases.
This program takes the kids from the classroom to the practice areas and then to the golf course. Find a facility in your area and get your kids playing today! |
