Description:
The Randolph Golf Course was designed by Willam Bell and opended for play in 1925. A second 18 was designed by Bell's son and opened in 1961. In 1996 the second 18 was completely redisigned by local architect Ken Kavenaugh and renamed in honor of the long time Randolph Golf Professional Dell Urich. Both the PGA and LPGA Tours have used both couses as venues for events. The Tucson Parks Foundation currently hosts an LPGA event each March on the Dell Urich Course. Both 18 hole layouts offer traditional parkland golf. The Randolph course is relatively flat with traditional bunkering and measures 6,863 yards from the back tees. The Dell Urich Course offers more variety with elevated tees, target fairways and mounded greens surronded by deep bunkers. Various parts of the golf course act as storm-water retention basins, adding to the Dell Urich's curvy signature.
