Description:
We are a semi-private championship style golf course owned by the Pines LLC. Bill M. Taylor is the principal.
The course was originally designed by Fred Findlay in 1944. Tom Clark of Ault, Clark and Associates designed the renovation.
Par for the course is 72 with 5 sets of tees ranging from 5,101 to 7,017 yards.
The greens have been rebuilt to USGA specifications and boast A1/A4 bent grass. Tees and fairways feature a new hybrid of Bermuda grass, which is more heat resistant.
The clubhouse currently features a grille and lounge with outdoor seating, Members-only lounge, dining room, men's and ladies locker facilities, fully stocked pro shop and banquet facilities.

Driving Directions:
From Chesapeake, VA: Take Hwy 64E/Hampton Roads Beltway towards I-664 N/Norfolk/Suffolk/Hampton. Take Exit 291B toward VA-104 S/Elizabeth City/US 17 South go approximately 35.1 miles. The Pines will be on your Right.
From Edenton, NC: Heading North on Hwy 17, continue on Hwy 17 for approximately 26 miles. Take the Halstead Blvd. exit, at end of ramp turn Right; go 2.2 miles. Turn left at stoplight onto Hwy 17 Business/N. Road St. and go 2.1 miles and the Pines will be on your left.
From the Outer Banks: Follow US Hwy 158N/Croatan Hwy for approximately 28 miles. Turn Left onto US Hwy 158W and go 16.2 miles. Turn Right onto US 17N/N. Rd. Street and go straight for 2.2 miles. The Pines will be on your left. |
