The Haggin Oaks Golf Complex has two 18-hole championship golf facilities which is the home of the Alister MacKenzie Golf Course (opened in 1932) and the Arcade Creek Golf Course (opened in 1958). Haggin Oaks is a municipal golf facility, owned by the City of Sacramento and a multi national award winning complex. Haggin Oaks is recognized as one of the 25 most women friendly golf shops in America by Golf for Women Magazine, has for 18 years running been selected as one of "America's 100 Best Golf Shops" by Golf Digest Magazine, is considered by the golf industry to have one of the best and largest instruction programs for beginners in the nation and in 2004 was ranked the Best Public Course in Sacramento by the Sacramento Magazine.
