Get Golf Ready at Private Facilities
There are numerous benefits for private golf clubs to become a Certified Get Golf Ready Facility. Building off best practices from private golf clubs hosting Play Golf America programs over the past few years, there are two basic options for success:
- Get Golf Ready programs open to the public
- Get Golf Ready programs available for club members only
Benefits for Promoting Get Golf Ready to the Public at Your Facility:
- Great way to introduce new people and new members to your facility
- Featured Get Golf Ready site listing on PlayGolfAmerica.com will differentiate your facility from others in the area
- Increase golf and F&B sales through the lesson program and graduate outings
- Potential to gain more tournament and outing revenue from a participant's company or work place
- Increase teaching revenue for assistant golf professionals
Benefits for Promoting Get Golf Ready to Your Membership Only:
- Opportunity to turn social members into full golf members
- Promote golf to members that currently do not play much, i.e. spouses, family members, etc. Increase rounds played, golf and F&B revenues
- Enables you to convert and repackage current group instruction programs to Get Golf Ready to entice new men, women, and juniors
- Create a "Buddy System" that enables members and guests to go through the program which would develop a new customer and revenue stream for the facility
- Graduate outings provide opportunities to increase events and sales for food and beverage
- Host a branded program that provides marketing tools and collateral to promote Get Golf Ready
Best Practices:
- Host Get Golf Ready for Women
- Generate new golfer nights, new golfer leagues. Consider hosting the 90 Minute Golf League (i.e. promote to GGR graduates where they play for 90 minutes vs. 9 holes)
- Offer new golfer clinics as part of golf outings, i.e. while players are on the course. Promote Get Golf Ready programs as a follow-up. Look to sell Get Golf Ready to a group of 8 people, vs individually
- Promote Get Golf Ready to home owner within your residential community
- Host Get Golf Ready programs to public on Mondays, i.e. days when the course is closed or slow
