Get Golf Ready is a nationally branded program that has two main goals:
1. Bring new people into golf in a fast, fun and affordable way
2. Bring former golfers back to the sport
The objective is to deliver a consistent Get Golf Ready experience at an affordable price at golf facilities coast-to-coast, where students will learn the game through a series of group lessons and transition to on-going playing opportunities.
Golf Professionals and operators are encouraged to become certified, host Get Golf Ready programs, benefit from national support and generate new found business. Click here to apply.

Application
Apply to become a Get Golf Ready Certified Facility
- Review the Get Golf Ready criteria
- Complete the Get Golf Ready Application
- Applications will be evaluated based on plans to satisfy Get Golf Ready criteria, i.e. only those that display the means and commitment to properly implement this program will be designated as certified facilities.
- Upon approval, each certified facility will receive an official package of materials as well as links to additional online resources.

Program Elements & Criteria
Learn:
The offering of an affordable five-lesson group instruction package under the title of Get Golf Ready at a price of $99 per person, which includes on-course activities during each of the five lessons.
A detailed curriculum is provided in the Program Manual. It is recommended the flow of instruction of skills begin on the putting green and work back to the teeing ground. The fifth lesson would conclude with students playing 1-2 holes with on-course instruction.
Play:
On-course playing experiences in a casual yet structured setting using fun, skill enhancement formats designed to get people comfortable with playing and meeting golfers of similar abilities. PGA/LPGA Professionals and their best customers will also serve as on-course mentors to help guide new golfers around the course. Best practices and suggested formats will be in the Program Manual.
Get Golf Ready Graduate outings should be offered on an on-going basis throughout the season, where golfers pay for each session, with greens fees and the number of holes offered varied by facility.
A certified facility must be able to:
- Use and promote the "Get Golf Ready" brand
- Offer series of 5-class group lessons to a minimum of 25 students
- Instruction managed by PGA/LPGA Professional with up to a maximum 8:1 Student/Teacher ratio. To learn how to locate a golf professional please visit our locate a golf professional page.
- Deliver the five lesson package in increments of 60- to 90-minute sessions (minimum of six hours)
- Provide an experience on the golf course each session, as well as in the practice areas
- Provide five group lessons set at an affordable price of $99 (pricing may vary by facility)
- Follow the curriculum
- Host at least five Get Golf Ready graduate outings, i.e. retention activities with on-course mentors
- Provide use of golf clubs and golf balls to students at no charge
- Post schedule of lessons and graduate outings on PlayGolfAmerica.com/GGR
- Report results
Posting Events
As part of the criteria, certified facilities will need to post all of your Get Golf Ready programs, maintain an updated schedule and encouraged to use the online registration tools.
Use the Host Facility Resource Center to:
- Post events with the Custom Event Registration Tool(CERT)
- Edit events (change date, time, etc.)
- Monitor online registration
- Add registrants
- Communicate with graduates
