Locating a Golf Professional
PGA or LPGA Professionals are responsible for teaching Get Golf Ready. This is a commitment from the entire industry to insure students receive the highest quality instruction possible, plus have the program delivered in a manner that is fun for non-golfers to join the game.
Facilities in need of PGA or LPGA Professional instructors are invited to follow the steps below:
Locating a PGA or LPGA Professional:
- Contact The PGA of America Player Development Department for assistance in locating a PGA Professional
at (561) 624-7628, or e-mail lfinger@pgahq.com - Contact the LPGA Headquarters for assistance in locating an LPGA Professional at (386) 274-6231,
or e-mail ashleigh.anderson@lpga.com - It is okay to inquire with professionals you may already have a relationship with; however, we ask that facilities without a Professional refrain from cold calling.
Building your Get Golf Ready staff:
- The PGA of America will work with Section offices to identify Professionals in the local area. Primary target group is Life Members and Professionals working at Learning Centers, Driving Ranges and in retail stores (Dick's Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, GolfTEC)
- The LPGA will use a similar system
- Each facility will be responsible for negotiating a mutually agreed upon relationship with the professional. A few elements to consider:
- Group Lessons
- Defining how many, when to conduct, etc.
- Providing access to equipment, golf balls, and the golf course
- Breakdown of group lesson revenue (suggested fee $99 per person), how much will go to the Professional? Will any revenue be retained for range balls, access, etc.
- Administration: Who will post schedule to PlayGolfAmerica.com/GGR, communicate with students, collect fees, etc.
- Graduate Outings
- Defining how many outings, when to conduct, etc.
- Will the professional serve as a mentor? If so, what will the compensation be?
- Who will determine the pricing, formats, etc.
- Administration: Who will post schedule to PlayGolfAmerica.com/GGR, communicate with students, collect fees, etc.
- Group Lessons
